The mission

of the ReSMiQ

The mission of ReSMiQ is to conduct cutting-edge research leading to the design and implementation of miniaturized heterogeneous devices composed of microelectronic circuits and micro and nanomechanical, microfluidic and optical structures. These microsystems are dedicated to the use of various applications including information technology. This mission is supported by the assurance of training a highly qualified workforce working in the research and development of increasingly efficient and complex microsystems. The ReSMiQ aims to consolidate and increase a critical mass of researchers who collaborate on multidisciplinary projects contributing to improving the competitiveness of companies at the national and international levels, as well as the efficiency of health services and the quality of life of our fellow citizens. Furthermore, we aim to promote the optimal use of resources available in partner institutions in order to carry out research work that pushes the boundaries of current knowledge in the disciplines working on the development of microsystems.

We are interested in the research, design, and implementation of microsystems that combine microelectronic, micro- and nanomechanical, microfluidic, and optical structures. These microsystems are oriented toward the fields of health, telecommunications, aeronautics, and multimedia, as well as the training of new, highly qualified professionals in these fields. Our projects are characterized by a high degree of multidisciplinarity and complementarity, due to the heterogeneous composition and increasing complexity of the devices we work on. Our members all work closely together to achieve the following objectives:
