ReSMiQ scholarship supplement for undergraduate students
In order to encourage the integration of new students into laboratories affiliated with partner institutions, ReSMiQ has set up a financial aid competition for undergraduate students enrolled full-time in these same universities.
1. Eligibility conditions
- The project must be led and the application signed by a professor who is a co-researcher member of ReSMiQ.
- The application must be approved by a co-researching professor who agrees to contribute to the financial aid of the student under their supervision.
- The student must be registered full-time in one of the B.Sc. or B.Eng. programs at one of the partner institutions.
- Candidates must be available to work during the summer term in one of the affiliated laboratories.
- The project must be linked to the scientific program of ReSMiQ.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with another undergraduate scholarship from NSERC, FRQNT or an industrial scholarship.
2. Characteristics
- For a duration of two (2) months.
- Starting on June 1, 2026.
- A minimum amount of 3000$ (see article 3 for more details).
3. Amount allocated and conditions of granting
The amount granted is 2000 $, and the supervisor undertakes to supplement it with a minimum amount of 1000 $.
Conditions for granting
The terms of the agreement must be determined before filing the application and be described in the form in the section dedicated to this purpose. The terms include the amounts paid by the supervisor, the minimum number of hours that the student must devote to his research, as well as any other form of arrangement between the parties concerning the remuneration that the student may obtain outside of his research activities.
Declaration of the candidate and supervisor
The student who receives a scholarship supplement will commit, via a signed declaration, to dedicate a minimum amount of time to their research work as agreed with their supervisor, and will undertake to work on the subject as presented in the application. To obtain the amount awarded by ReSMiQ, the recipient and the supervisor must complete and sign a declaration setting out the parameters of the agreement as follows:
– the amount paid by the supervisor.
– The minimum number of hours that the student must devote to his research work.
– Any other form of arrangement between the parties relating to remuneration
4. Selection criteria
- Be eligible according to the conditions stipulated above.
- Excellence of academic record and research potential. Although not mandatory, the involvement of a co-supervisor will be considered an asset during the evaluation of applications.

6. Preparation of the application
Any file MUST BE COMPLETE AND SUBMITTED VIA ONLINE FORM and contain the following information:
- Candidate identification (name, surname, contact details);
- The academic profile (current program, cumulative GPA, affiliation, permanent code number, and other relevant information);
- Name of the director, the title of the project and a brief description.
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae containing:
- Candidate identification and contact details;
- Citizenship status in Canada
- Training and qualifications obtained
- Previous experiences
- Awards and scholarships obtained (if applicable).
- Copies of your transcripts issued by the registrar (one copy in PDF format + 1 original sent to the ReSMiQ administrative office).
- Declaration of the candidate and supervisor (PDF form to submit)
7. Submission of the application
7.1 Filing Schedule
Applications must be sent to the ReSMiQ administrative offices no later than March 9, 2026.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the application form

8. Awarding of scholarships and announcement of results
The result will be communicated by email to the applicant with a copy to the project director.
