Microelectronics plays a key role in the design of various microsystems and in cutting-edge applications requiring portable, fast, and low-power devices. This technology, like microsystem design, is a central pillar of any modern economy. It represents a basic technology for a growing number of industrial and service sectors. The center plays a leading role in creating industrial innovations and developing advanced technologies in various fields related to microelectronics and microsystems.
Faced with the rapid evolution of the sector, the Quebec Strategic Microsystems Group (ReSMiQ) began a new strategic direction in 2006 by focusing its research activities on the field of microsystems, this reorientation aimed at stimulating collaboration between current members and attracting new partners. Despite these changes, our objectives remain unchanged: to strengthen the relevance of ReSMiQ to local industry, and to intensify collaboration between members as well as interactions with students.
