
The Quebec Strategic Microsystem Group (ReSMiQ) aims to promote research on thees microsystems, in order to allow the installation of instrumentations and of devices miscellaneous in fields of application such as health, education and industry. The management of the ReSMiQ as well as all of its members are convinced that the quality of this research and the originality of the ideas that drive it born are better servedes by l'establishment from a research environment where equity and fairness reign diversity, constructive scientific debate and the inclusion of allyours and of alls.
In particular, the very nature of the ReSMiQ aims to encourage collaborations between members, based solely on their academic profiles and those of their students. Pfor this reason, THE ReSMiQ puts forward a policy which aims to raise awareness among its members and promote a culture of research based on the definitions following equity, diversity and inclusion:
Equity
An approach aimed at treating all individuals or groups fairly, taking into account their particular characteristics in order to place them on an equal footing. Equity aims to ensure that everyone has the right to the same benefits (equality of opportunity).
Diversity
Approach that includes identity factors (such as gender, origin, age, social condition or sexual orientation), ideas, professional and life experiences, skills and diverse knowledge of individuals. Diversity is based on the variety of profiless and the variety of enriching experiences.
Inclusion
A set of practices that promote the creation of a welcoming and respectful environment that fully integrates all members of its community and offers them support and encouragement measures to promote their well-being and achievement. It is an ongoing commitment aimed at integration, support and the advancement of researchers, particularly those who are part of underrepresented groups in the field.
So, THE ReSMiQ adheres to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in all activities thathe organizes, as well as in support that he offers to members and their students. Concretely, this includes the use of inclusive vocabulary. and neutral in its communications and increasing the representation of visible and ethnic minorities, Indigenous people and women, not forgetting people with disabilities and neuroatypical people.
