Financial support for invited researchers
IMPORTANT NOTE: ReSMiQ feels that it is important to provide English versions of its documentation for the scientific community. However, please note that the french version constitutes the official version and takes precedence in case of discrepancy.
ReSMiQ is making it possible for its members affiliated to partner institutions to invite foreign researchers to participate in projects by contributing to their travel and lodging expenses.
1. Eligibility and caracteristics
- Only regular and associate ReSMiQ members affiliated to partner universities are eligible to this program.
- The invited researcher must be a professor or researcher affiliated to a recognized institution (no postdocs).
- The project must be related to the ReSMiQ's research program.
- The support is granted by way of competition.
- The recipient have one year to begin his stay
- There is not limit on the duration of the stay
2. Amount
- ReSMiQ will contribute $3 500 CAN* if the researcher is invited by two or more members.
- ReSMiQ will contribute $2 000 CAN* if the researcher is invited by only one member.

3. Application submission
Researchers or groups of researchers wanting to obtain financial support must provide:
- The form CHINV_FORM_2011 (you must use the provided templates in PDF or DOC)
- A short description of the research work to which your guest will participate.
- A recent CV of the invited researcher
IMPORTANT NOTE: Following the visit, a report (1 to 2 pages max.) must be sent to ReSMiQ, explaining
the research done and the benefits for the center.
Applications must be received at ReSMiQ’s administrative office on May 8, 2023, at the latest. Submit your application in PDF format via the online submission page. Select the "Financial support for invited researcher".
