Description du programme de recherche
Design and implementation of low-power analog-mixed VLSI circuits
The research program involves several aspects of VLSI design and implementation for mixed signal processing. The first is developing CMOS integrated optical sensor circuits. Analog-mixed current-mode circuits are included to improve the circuit performance in terms of the power dissipation, the required silicon area, and the operation speed. The second aspect is in signal processing algorithms. Simple algorithms, particularly some for image processing, are investigated, or proposed to facilitate the implementations in VLSI circuits. The third aspect of the research is on the design of analog and digital conversion circuits, focused on simplifying circuit structures for sensor applications.
